All your questions will be answered here. Except those we didn't think of.

The Queen’s Miscreants is a film group based in Charlotte, NC. We are primarily made up of local improvisers working together to create outstanding independent films.

In June of 2015, Carey Head posted the following to the private cast page of Charlotte Comedy Theater on Facebook:

Last year, I participated in the Charlotte 48-Hour Film Project. It was a ton of fun, and I learned one very important thing about making a good short film: it has to have a good story.

We know how to tell a good story.

I want to register a team for this year’s festival with you.

I’ll cover the registration fee if we can get enough people to pull this off. It’ll be hella fun and we’ll have a 7 minute movie to show for it! Let me know if you’re interested, and feel free to share this with other improvisers that might be interested.

Within 24 hours, he had enough improvisers to field a team. Over the next several weeks, more help came from students at the theater, from professional film crew, and a professional actor.

Their first short, Clocking Out, garnered Best Film at the 2015 Charlotte 48 Hour Film Project, and The Queen’s Miscreants was born!
